About Me
I emigrated to Canada when I was five years old with my mom, dad and sister. Our country had just undergone a revolution and my parents wanted to raise us in a country that allowed us to pursue our dreams, had freedoms and liberty, and the choice to shape our lives how we saw fit.
And so here I am, many, many years later. Life wasn’t easy, my family struggled so I didn’t have to.
I am fortunate to have a wonderful family, a loving husband, and two awesome kids who inspire me to be a better person.
My entire career was devoted to healthcare and improving the lives of Ontarians through the strategic use of data and technology. But work isn’t always perfect, I was laid off twice in 5 years. Once just before the pandemic and another 3 years later.
I decided to take the involuntary time off and pursue a passion I hadn’t had time for due to adult responsibilities! I decided to write! Found professional editors, and illustrators and took the plunge into the publishing world!
I jokingly say I don’t have a ‘dream job’ because I don’t ‘dream of labour’. But this isn’t labour - it’s sheer joy! I dream of one day, waking to a mind full of ideas, a life full of time and inspiration to continue writing meaningful and fun stories for children.
